Task Reflection

Task Reflection reflects tasks and details from other Gantt charts. by displaying in your own Gantt chart  tasks from other Gantt charts (The reflected tasks), and by updating about certain data and changes concerning the reflected task.

In order to reflect a task in a Gantt chart  you should open both Gantt charts (the reflected Gantt chart  may be in "Read only"), mark the task that you want to reflect.
at the "MS-Addons" ribbon click   .

You will see the following message:

Then move to the other file and choose the task you want to reflect and click .

You will see the following message:

 

  

Now, clicking   or  will run reflection on the selected tasks or on all tasks.

 

 

Deleting/canceling reflection will be done by choosing the tasks that the reflection is to be canceled and clicking .

 

 

After clicking "Yes" in the clear window you will receive a notification with the number of canceled reflections.

 

 

Before using Task Reflection

 

 

1. Click on   and choose the General settings:

   

 

 

 Database Details: Fill in your SQL server name (the server that holds Project Server databases) and the actual name of Project Server Draft database on your server.

 

Important note: Every user that uses this feature must have reading permissions for Project server Draft database!!!

 

 

 2. Before using Task Reflection you can choose which fields will be reflected:

 

Click on , expend Addins and choose “Task Reflection”.

Now, click the “Add” button:

 

 

Choose the fields that you wish to reflect
